Steluța – I graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry, Physical Chemistry Department (5-year program) at “Al. I. Cuza” University in Iași, class of 1994. Between 2000–2002, I pursued postgraduate studies in Computer Science and Computer-Assisted Technologies, Credis Department, University of Bucharest. In 2010, I began a Master’s program in Educational Management and European Integration at SNSPA Bucharest, which I completed in 2012. Since 1996, I have been teaching at “Carol I” Technological High School in Valea Doftanei, holding a permanent position in the Computer Science department since 2003. Between 2008–2013, I was the school’s deputy principal, and since 2013, I have been the principal.
Since 2018, I have been leading the Coder Dojo Valea Doftanei programming club, where around 50 children take part in workshops such as: Micro:bit, Scratch, Arduino, Programming, Lego MindStorms EV3, Virtual and Augmented Reality.
In 2020, AVE Romania awarded me the title Principal of the Year for Innovation, for the digital education I implemented in the school. On December 1, 2023, the country’s president decorated me with the Order “Merit for Education,” Knight rank.
Since taking leadership positions in the school, I have carried out many projects with European funding, through which I managed to attract almost one million euros. Among them: the ROSE Project, the Erasmus Project “Childhood – the age of innocence, not of violence”, PNRR – Smart Lab, PNRR – Pilot Schools, Erasmus Accreditation 2023–2027, Robotics Lab – Asociația Zi de Bine, and others.
The pass rate at national exams has been above 80% every year, and the dropout rate is zero.
